How to edit several people at once
When a whole branch shares a detail, such as a religion or heritage, select everyone and set it once.
Works the same on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Step by step
- 1
Select several people
Choose Box Select in the toolbar (the dashed rectangle, or press B) and drag a box around them. With a keyboard you can also Shift-tap people, or press ⌘A to select everyone.
- 2
Edit them together
The panel shows “N people · Bulk edit”. Change Status, Gender, Size or Visibility, Color, Religion, Social class, Education level or Heritage patterns, and it applies to everyone selected.
- 3
Tidy their spacing
With three or more selected, Distribute evenly spaces them out. Tap Done when you are finished.

Multi-select and bulk edit
