How this directory is built

Every family, person, year and relationship shown here is drawn from the same educational dataset that powers the genogram pages, compiled from publicly available information. The directory adds no biographical detail of its own — it indexes, counts and cross-references what the genograms already contain.

These are teaching examples rather than exhaustive family histories. Each genogram records the people needed to make a pattern legible, which averages 4.0 people per family — so a missing sibling or cousin means the diagram was scoped for teaching, not that the person did not exist.

Emotional-quality markers such as closeness, conflict or estrangement are clinical illustrations of how a pattern is commonly depicted in family-systems literature. On individual profile pages we publish those markers only for historical figures, never for people who may still be living.

Map your own family

Build a genogram with the same symbols and relationship lines used across these 88 examples.
