How to tidy up a messy genogram
After adding a lot of people, lines can cross and generations drift. Auto Arrange lays the whole family out again by generation.
Works the same on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Step by step

Open Auto Arrange
On iPad and Mac, tap the grid button in the toolbar. On iPhone, tap Auto Arrange (the wand) or choose Auto Arrange… from the More tools menu (…). With a keyboard, ⌘⇧A arranges straight away.

Choose the options
Pick a layout (Hierarchical is recommended), the spacing, and on iPad and Mac how several spouses are shown: Linear, Stacked or Timeline. Keep Follow Genogram Rules on.

Apply, or undo
Tap Apply. If you liked it better before, tap Undo on the message that appears, or use the undo arrow at the top.
