Privacy Policy

Summary
Genogram Creator is a privacy-first iPad app. We do not collect, transmit, or share any of your data. Everything you create — names, family relationships, medical history, emotional notes — stays on your device. There is no account, no cloud sync to our servers, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs.
What we collect
Nothing. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share:
- Personal information (name, email, phone, address)
- Genogram content (people, relationships, medical history, notes, secrets, attachments)
- Usage analytics, crash reports, or telemetry
- Device identifiers (advertising ID, IDFA, IDFV)
- Location data
- Photos, contacts, or other system data
Where your data lives
Your genograms are stored locally in the app's Documents directory on your iPad. You can access them through the Files app, where they appear under “On My iPad → Genogram Creator”. If you enable iCloud Drive for the Files app (a system-level choice you control in iOS Settings), Apple may sync those files to your personal iCloud account — that sync is between you and Apple and we have no access to it.
In-App Purchases and subscriptions
Genogram Creator offers two optional auto-renewing subscriptions (“Standard Annual” and “Unlimited Annual”) through Apple's StoreKit framework. Purchase, billing, and subscription state are handled entirely by Apple — we never see your payment information, your Apple ID, or your billing details. We only receive a boolean entitlement from Apple indicating whether you have an active subscription, and that signal stays on your device.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions.
Apple's required privacy disclosures
The app uses UserDefaults (via SwiftUI @AppStorage) to remember small in-app preferences like whether you've seen the introductory tutorial. This is declared in our app's privacy manifest under reason code CA92.1 — “Access info available only to the app itself.” This data never leaves your device.
Children
Genogram Creator is designed for adults — clinicians, social workers, family therapists, genealogists, and the family-curious. It is not directed at children under 13. Because we collect no information from anyone, we collect no information from children.
Third parties
We use no third-party SDKs, no third-party analytics, no third-party advertising frameworks, and no third-party servers. The app communicates with one external system only: Apple's StoreKit, for subscription processing. Apple's privacy policy governs that interaction: apple.com/legal/privacy.
Your rights and choices
Because we do not collect or hold any of your data, there is nothing for us to delete, export, or correct on your behalf. To remove all genogram data, delete the Genogram Creator app from your iPad — the app's data is removed with it. (Files you copied or shared outside the app, such as PNG/PDF exports, are not affected by deleting the app.)
If you have enabled iCloud Drive sync for Files, copies of your genograms may exist in your iCloud account; manage those through iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this document. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
